Madhu Pandit Dasa Exposes Guru Fraud

Fraud 1: Srila Prabhupada in July 1977, about 4 months before he left the planet, based on a specific question on the future of initiations in ISKCON after his physical departure, appointed eleven of his senior disciples to officiate on his behalf and initiate new disciples, who would be considered Srila Prabhupada’s disciples.
But in direct contravention of the Founder Acharya’s specific and clear institutional directive, these eleven ambitious, young disciples, fraudulently and unauthorizedly took up the position of Founder Acharya themselves and declared that they were the new “Prabhupadas”.
They divided the whole world into eleven zones amongst themselves and called themselves the corresponding Zonal Acharyas. This was the first fraud which went on till 1986, when it was exposed. And it was one of the biggest scams, from which originated all other frauds and scams in the movement.
Fraud 2: THE MULTIPLE ACHARYA SCAM

By 1986, five of the eleven self appointed “Acharya” fraud gurus had fallen from grace. One bigger scam after another rocked the movement from 1977 to 1986, with the holy men eloping with young girls, becoming drug addicts, landing up in jail for possession of illegal arms etc.
Unable to continue the fraud further, the “gurus” relented and it was established that this was the greatest disservice to the movement by them. However, in a master stroke, instead of going back to the original directive from the Founder Acharya to become only his representatives, the Zonal Acharyas inducted more new “gurus” and declared that not only they, but all others could also be made “gurus” on their authorization. The fraud continued.

Fraud 3:  THE MURDER
Kirtanananda Swami (the ghost hearted )

By 1986, the rank and file devotees had started waking up. Sulochana Dasa, one of the disciples of Srila Prabhupada, criticized the self – appointed Acharya fraud and started gathering evidence on what Srila Prabhupada had intended for his ISKCON Society from his letters and recorded conversations.
He was compiling his findings into a book titled, The Guru Business to expose this scam. When he was working on the last chapter of his book, one day in 1986, not very far from the ISKCON temple in Los Angeles, Sulochana Dasa was shot at point-blank range on the direction of Kirtanananda Swami – one of the original eleven fraud Zonal Acharyas!!
Later Kirtanananda Swami was convicted in 1991 and sent to prison in North Carolina to serve a thirty year sentence.

Fraud 4: CHILD ABUSE CRIMES

On June 12, 2000, 44 young adults filed a $400 million dollar damage suit against the fraud “gurus” for sexual, physical and emotional torture inflicted upon them as children. In the suit the Plaintiffs claimed they were sexually, physically and emotionally abused, along with hundreds of other children, who were kept during two decades at Hare Krishna’s boarding schools.
The suit, filed in the Federal District Court in Dallas, Texas, named the INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF KRISHNA CONSCIOUSNESS (ISKCON) as the lead defendant, along with sixteen other ISKCON entities and seventeen individual members of its GOVERNING BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS – all fraud “gurus”.
The Plaintiffs were from various cities in the United States, Canada and England. In February 2004, sensing that they were being cornered, ISKCON through its attorney David Liberman, filed for bankruptcy to avoid paying out the huge compensation. Finally, in November 2008, the fraud “gurus” settled with the plaintiffs – the child abuse victims – for $20 million.

Fraud 5:  FALSE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST MADHU PANDIT DASA
MADHU PANDIT DASA

Intolerant of the success of Madhu Pandit Dasa and his crusade against the fraud “gurus”, a well calculated, malevolent campaign has been launched by them in the media and amongst the devotee community.
Unsubstantiated, anonymous rumours are being spread in the media and public with a devious motive to tarnish his stature and reputation, with the hope that this will dampen his crusade.
Their sustained venomous rumours however, have neither dampened nor slowed the mega scale of the path breaking projects envisioned and launched by him, such as the Mega spiritual theme park in Bangalore and the multi crore cultural complex in Jaipur as well as the Akshaya Patra program which has grown from strength to strength.

Fraud 6:  THE INTERNET CAMPAIGN

fraud blog named madhu bandit das

Further malevolent attempts have been launched with many anonymous blogs and websites with unsubstantiated mud slinging at Madhu Pandit Dasa.
The red herrings are another attempt to cover up the “guru” fraud and the subsequent scams in the movement. The strategy to misuse the power of the web to fraudulently launch a malicious libel campaign against Madhu Pandit Dasa for exposing their scam is sure to backfire with time as the truth will prevail.

The Zonal Acarya System

11 fake gurus

Before Srila Prabhupada left his body he named some disciples who could give ritvik initiation (accepting Srila Prabhupada’s disciples on his behalf). These devotees could chant on the beads and initiate new devotees, but these new devotees would be disciples of Srila Prabhupada, not their disciples. Tamal Krishna, Prabhupada’s secretary at that time, outlined the whole procedure in a letter sent to all temple presidents six months before Srila Prabhupada left his body.

180 from 11

iskcon fake gurus
However, when Srila Prabhupada left his body there was confusion as to how the future initiations would go on, although it seemed clear Prabhupada understood the system he established would continue after his disappearance, otherwise why would he go to the trouble of having Tamal Krishna document it and notify all temples? Srila Prabhupada was staying in Vrndavana at that time and he knew quite well he was leaving his body very soon. If he had wanted his disciples to be acaryas in their own right surely he would have said so. At this time the GBC took advice from one of Srila Prabhupada’s godbrothers on the future initiations within ISKCON. It is strange that the GBC went to Prabhupada’s godbrothers for advice on such an important matter when Srila Prabhupada had warned so often that his godbrothers were envious of his success and couldn’t help in the preaching work…”They are simply trying to infiltrate our society to do something harmful…”
Srila Prabhupada had followed his spiritual master Srila Bhaktsiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura by not naming an acarya to take over his position, instead, he had formed a governing body, the GBC, which was to cooperatively manage the preaching. He already had a system in place enabling a number of his disciples to initiate disciples on his behalf, they would still be Srila Prabhupada’s disciples, not disciples of the devotee who was performing the initiation ceremony. There are many indications that Srila Prabhupada intended this system to continue after he disappeared from our material vision and there are absolutely no indications that he approved of these devotees taking over ISKCON as his successors. Unfortunately the Gaudiya Math advice was the men named by Srila Prabhupada as ritvics should be treated as non- different from Srila Prabhupada. They were acaryas in their own right, entitled to sit on highly elevated vayassanas (seats), entitled to the title paramahamsa (the topmost devotee) and names like Visnupada and Bhaktipada, almost on the level of Prabhupada. Overnight these devotees became “rubber stamped” as pure unalloyed devotees and were to be worshiped on the same level as Srila Prabhupada. There was no question of of Srila Prabhupada’s other disciples ever reaching the status of “zonal acarya”; in fact, Srila Prabhupada’s disciples were expected to worship these “zonal acaryas” as if they were their disciples, if they refused there was no future for them in ISKCON.

Kirtananda Maharaja

"You have written that the devotees there say that you cannot know me, but only Kirtananda Maharaja can know me. But if Kirtananda is a disciple and he can know me, and you are also a disciple, why you cannot know me?" (to Satyabama dasi and Paramananda dasa 20 Jul, 1974)
All emphasis was placed on pleasing the “zonal acaryas” and Srila Prabhupada was put well into the background. It was considered offensive for a devotee to directly worship or approach Srila Prabhupada. He could only please Srila Prabhupada by pleasing the “zonal acarya.” Even disciples of Srila Prabhupada were expected to follow this procedure.
Any new devotee coming to ISKCON had no choice but to take initiation from the “zonal acarya” in his area. There was no room for questioning. If anyone did question the “pure devotee zonal acarya,” it was considered blasphemy and he didn’t have much chance of staying in ISKCON.
From the beginning an intelligent person who had studied Srila Prabhupada’s books could see the flaws in the “zonal acarya” system. Because speaking out against the “zonal acarya” was considered blasphemy a devotee who could see problems had to either keep his mouth closed and take initiation from the “zonal acarya” or leave.
This system made ISKCON a laughing stock for the Gaudiya Math and also for many Indians who were well aware of the actual qualifications of a spiritual master. Although the ISKCON “acaryas” were confident they were pure devotees on the same level as Srila Prabhupada, anyone looking on from outside the movement who knew the qualifications of a pure devotee could see how ridiculous this was. Prabhupada’s godbrothers and his so-called “leading disciples” had succeeded in destroying the credibility of ISKCON which Srila Prabhupada had fought so hard to establish. And still no one in ISKCON seemed to know what was happening.
"...our leaders should be careful not to kill the spirit of enthusiastic service, which is individual and spontaneous and voluntary. They should try always to generate some atmosphere of fresh challenge to the devotees, so that they will agree enthusiastically to rise and meet it. This is the art of management: to draw out spontaneous loving spirit of sacrificing some energy for Krishna. But where are so many expert managers? All of us should become expert managers and preachers. We should not be contented. There must be always some tapasya, strictly observing the regulative principles - Krishna consciousness movement must always be a challenge, a great achievement to be gained by a voluntary desire to do it, and that will keep it healthy." (to Karandhara 22 Dec, 1972)
Many young people were attracted as a result of the devotees preaching and from reading Srila Prabhupada’s books. They came to ISKCON and accepted these “zonal acaryas” on face value. All the devotees in the temples were praising them as pure devotees (anyone who didn’t was thrown out) and they seemed to be advanced devotees. Many of these young people took initiation from the authorized “guru” in their area. That was their only option – there was no other way according to the ISKCON devotees. These new devotees were not aware of the poisonous effects of Mayavada philosophy which by now were spread throughout the entire society. They didn’t even know what Mayavada philosophy was! Once they joined the movement they received little training in Krishna consciousness, they were not encouraged to read Srila Prabhupada’s books. The main program was to make money for the temple. The result was most of these devotees never really understood what Krishna consciousness was and therefore didn’t experience any spiritual pleasure. This was because they were not following the process given by Srila Prabhupada. It was not their fault… The ISKCON devotees were not actually presenting Krishna consciousness any more. Everything had changed. Instead of always thinking of Krishna and distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books the devotees were now always thinking of money and selling anything and ev- erything they could lay their hands on, simply to make money. Many new devotees left after a short time because there was no pleasure or satisfaction at all in ISKCON anymore. The preaching was contaminated with Mayavada poison so just by listening to the classes devotees would loose any attachment they may have had for personal devotional service to Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
These devotees either left, became contaminated themselves and joined the “Mayavadi” club, or became unhappy and frustrated within ISKCON.
"Srila Bhaktsiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura suggests that people who are materialistically inclined and sahajiyas, or so-called Vaisnavas who take everything very casually, are both visayi, materialists. Eating food offered by them causes contamination, and as a result of such contamination, even a serious devotee becomes like a materialistic man. There are six kinds of asso- ciation - giving charity, accepting food, offering food, talking confidentially and enquiring confidentially. One should very care- fully avoid associating with the sahajiyas, who are sometimes known as Vaisnavas, and the non-Vaisnavas, or avaisnavas. Their association changes the transcendental devotional service of Lord Krishna into sense gratification, and when sense gratification enters the mind of a devotee, he is contaminated. The materialistic person who aspires after sense gratification cannot properly think of Krishna.
The organization built by the “zonal acaryas” was not Krishna consciousness. It was guru consciousness. Everything was centred around pleasing the guru and blind submission and surrender to the guru. Of course submission and surrender to a bona fide guru is good… even if it is blind faith. But the real spiritual master does not encourage blind sentimental following. He establishes Kr- ishna consciousness scientifically and authoritively from the authorized scriptures and trains his disciples in Krishna consciousness to enable them to thoroughly understand the philos- ophy. However, if a disciple doesn’t take advantage of his spiritual masters training, if he has faith in Krishna and his spiritual master and follows strictly the regulative principles of devotional life and chants at least 16 rounds daily, the end is the same. He is Krishna conscious. The difficulty is devotees who don’t have a solid philosophical understanding are usually not very fixed in their devotional service. Such philosophically naive devotees are also prone to exploitation. Because they don’t know the philosophy of Krishna consciousness they have no way of determining if the directions of the other devotees are correct. They are also unable to select a bona fide guru – they can’t tell maya (illusion) from Krishna. Basically they are religious fanatics. Srila Prabhupada so often referred to religion without philosophy as sentimental or fanatical.
The “zonal acaryas” themselves had no ability to preach and no real understanding of the philosophy of Krishna consciousness so they couldn’t attract intelligent disciples. They couldn’t properly present the philosophy of Krishna consciousness. Only the envious and the sentimental were attracted. Of course many intelligent people read Srila Prabhupada’s books and were attracted by Krishna and Prabhupada, but usually their intelligence enabled them to see the devotees in the temples were not following the instructions clearly given by Srila Prabhupada in his books. So most intelligent persons didn’t join the movement and the ones that did usually got such a hard time from the devotees within ISKCON, who saw their intelligence as a threat, didn’t stay long. If somehow an intelligent person did stay within ISKCON he also became contaminated by the Mayavada philosophy and became just as bad as the others. The power of association is very strong.
"The pseudo religionists have neither knowledge of nor detachment from material affairs, for most of them want to live in the golden shackles of material bondage under the shadow of altruistic and philanthropic activities and in the guise of religious principles. By a false display of religious sentiments, they present a show of devotional service while indulging in all sorts of immoral activities. In this way they pass as spiritual masters and devotees of God. Such violators of religious principles have no respect for the authoritative acaryas, the holy teachers in the strict disciplic succession. To mislead the people in general, they themselves become so-called acaryas, but they do not even follow the principles of the acaryas." "These rogues are the most dangerous elements in human society. Because there is no religious government, they escape punishment by the law of the state. They cannot, however, escape the law of the Supreme, who has clearly declared in Bhagavad-gita (16.19-20) that envious demons in the garb of religious propagandists shall be thrown into the darkest regions of hell. Sri Isopanisad confirms that these pseudo religionists are heading toward the most obnoxious place in the universe after the completion of their spiritual-master business, which they conduct simply for sense gratification." (Sri Isopanisad Mantra 12 purport)
ISKCON quickly became an organization that took innocent people and under the guise of educating them in Krishna consciousness proceeded to do just the opposite. Everything looked and felt almost like the same Krishna consciousness Srila Prabhupada had established. Actually the movement seemed to be booming… going forward with great leaps and bounds. There were more temples, more devotees, more of almost everything. So things appeared to be suc- cessful. However it was all maya (illusion).
The reason for the apparent boom in Krishna consciousness was the new “acaryas” relaxed ISKCON’s views on the regulative principles. Srila Prabhupada was very emphatic that everyone in the temples must strictly follow the four regulative principles (no illicit sex, no intoxication, no meat eating and no gambling) and that everyone attend the morning temple program at 4:30am and that all devotees be fully engaged at all times. Although Prabhupada had great difficulty enforcing these rules it was at least clear that all these principles must be followed and one not following had no claim to be a member of ISKCON. The new “acaryas” didn’t have the same attitude to the regulative principles. Many of them were not following themselves so they could hardly inspire their disciples to follow. Their measure of spiritual advancement was different. It often had much more to do with how much money a disciple could collect than anything else. The change was not entirely obvious as devotees were still preaching that “you should follow…”, “you should chant 16 rounds…”, the classes sounded much the same as Prabhupada’s, but these devotees were not following themselves, nor did they have any intention of ever following. Many people picked up this subtle change and realized that now they could live in an ISKCON temple without following the regulations or chanting 16 rounds, and they could get some big post of power (temple president, etc) and exploit the devotees. No one was going to challenge them or check if they were following the principles or chanting their rounds… the field was wide open…
"Therefore the spiritual master gives different varieties of engagements to devotees in Krishna consciousness. For example, under the direction of the spiritual master the devotees may sell books in Krishna consciousness. But if the devotees think that the energy invested in selling books should be diverted in to selling jewellery, that is not a very good idea. Then we would become nothing more than jewellers. We should be very much careful not to be diverted from Krishna consciousness. Even if there is danger or suffering in Krishna consciousness, we should tolerate it. We should even welcome such danger, and we should pray in apprecia- tion to Krishna." (Teachings Of Queen Kunti)
The purpose of our lives, our whole existence, is to render service to Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Actually we have no other business. If we try to gratify our own senses it will end in frustration and suffering, no matter how attractive the sense gratification appears in the beginning. However, if we work for the satisfaction of Krishna’s senses, our natural constitutional position, we will enjoy transcendental bliss, ever increasing ecstasy on the spiritual platform, even though it may appear like poison in the beginning.
It is a prerequisite for a devotee to at least accept the principle that material activities aimed at sense gratification are a cause of suffering and repeated birth and death while service to Krishna liberates one from all the suffering of the material world and puts one on the transcendental platform. When Srila Prabhupada was physically present he had many problems with so-called devotees who didn’t even accept this basic principle. They were feigning Krishna consciousness to get some position, power, fame, wealth, reputation, followers and so on. For them Krishna consciousness was a totally mundane affair about exploiting other devotees and Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON for their own personal benefit. In Prabhupada’s presence he somehow adjusted things so the preaching went on. It is one of Srila Prabhupada’s glories that he could take anyone, even an all-out demon, and engage him in Krishna consciousness. Even though these demons didn’t accept Krishna consciousness, Srila Prabhupada was able to extract so much service from them. After Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance, however, these materialists in the guise of devotees had an open field for their nefarious activities.
For a devotee it is difficult to understand that someone, especially another so-called devotee, could not believe in Krishna or accept Srila Prabhupada as a pure devotee and worship him as being Krishna in the form of the spiritual master. These things are crystal clear to even the most neophyte devotee. However the grossly materialistic demons and the more subtle Mayavadis and impersonalists will never accept Krishna or His pure devotee. That is their nature. The demons can’t stand the pure chanting of Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare / Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare, nor can they bear to see devotees advancing in Krishna consciousness and the Krishna consciousness movement spreading all over the world. As a devotee is prepared to surrender his life, his energy, everything to preach Krishna consciousness, the demons are similarly prepared to sacrifice everything and dedicate their whole life and energy to stopping the advancement of the Krishna consciousness movement. Personally it amazes me how dedicated these demons are. They won’t stop their nefarious activities even though they are suffering greatly and it is as plain as day that Krishna is God, Srila Prabhupada is a pure devotee and they are demons. Still they want to be gurus and take as many disciples as possible with them to the darkest reigns of hell to suffer perpetually in the most unbelievable agony.
So ISKCON became an organization run by these demons and the sincere fools and envious rascals who took initiation from the demons were dragged down to their level of consciousness. As a disciple of a pure devotee develops all the qualities of the demigods by serving a bona fide pure devotee spiritual master, similarly, a servant of a demon in the guise of a devotee develops all the qualities of the demons. This really changed the mood in the ISKCON temples. Even the devotees who were initially serious about serving Krishna and had some faith in Krishna consciousness were quickly contaminated by this very effective process of association with and service to demons.
ISKCON had been transferred from a society that was turning demons into devotees to a society turning devotees into demons! Anything is possible in this dark age of Kali-yuga it seems. This reversal of the process caused great confusion and distress for devotees who were sincerely trying to become Krishna conscious but were getting the opposite result. Devotees would rise early in the morning, attend the temple program, hear the classes of the “pure devotee” preachers and go out all day selling Hong Kong oil paintings, or whatever was the most effective way to make money for the temple and their “guru,” but instead of decreasing their material desires, their material desires increased more and more. Many, many thousands of devotees went through this process and left the Hare Krishna movement in a worse state than when they joined. ISKCON was now bring out the worst in people, instead of reviving their long forgotten love for Krishna.
Devotees subjected to this treatment suffered greatly. Some committed suicide, many went crazy and most lost faith in Krishna consciousness and went back to suffer in the material world.
"Those who are nondevotees, those who are mental speculators, those who are fruitive workers, those who are meditators or mystic yogis, cannot explain the science of God. This is especially mentioned also by Sanatana Gosvami, another great saint; those who are not in devotional service, nongodly, those who have no faith in God - such persons should not be allowed to speak on the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam, or any other literature which is in relationship with the Supreme Lord. So it is not that anyone can speak the Bhagavatam or the Gita and we will have to hear it. No. Sanatana Gosvami especially prohibits us; we should not hear of the Supreme Lord from one who is not purified." "One may ask, "How can you taint the words of Krishna, which are naturally transcendentally pure? What is the harm if we hear from the nondevotee?" This question may be raised. The example given here is that milk is very nice and nutritious, but as soon as it is touched by a serpent it becomes poison immediately. The serpent is very envious. He bites and puts to death immediately, unnecessarily, and therefore is considered the cruellest animal amongst the living entities. In the sastra nonviolence is recom- mended, as in every scripture, but the serpent and the scorpion are allowed to be killed. You cannot say that milk is so nutritious, and we can drink - what is the harm if it is touched by serpents? No - the result will be death. One should not hear at least the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam from those who are not devotees of the Lord, who have no realization of God and who are envious of Him. Their touch renders it poison. The words of the Lord are always sublime, but as soon as they are touched by the serpent like nondevotee, one should be very careful about hearing." Hari Sari Distorts Facts & Exchange With Hari Sauri Prabhu

Hari Sari Distorts Facts
Aug 2, 1999 – In an attempt to try and gain a propaganda victory against the IRM, Hari Sauri Das, the Co-Director for Mayapur, recently submitted an article to CHAKRA, regaling in how a pandal had burnt down in Calcutta. Having no philosophical arguments against the IRG, in desperation he has had to resort to this destruction of property, as ‘evidence’ that the Lord is trying to ‘tell’ us something. Unfortunately as well as employing faulty reasoning he could not even get his facts correct:
“The building was used as a wedding pandal. “
The ‘building’ was untouched. What burnt down was a pandal in the grounds of the building, which is constructed of bamboo sticks & canvass.
“It is alleged to have generated funds which were being used to paid lawyers trying to sue ISKCON. “
Please note the word ‘alleged’. The allegation has no basis in fact. The costs for the court case have so far amounted to no more than $8000 in total, which have been funded entirely from donations from the West. Funding an action in rupees, with funds from the West is relatively easy, since $1 = 44 rupees. To put this into perspective, for our upcoming meeting in New York, just one IRG member, who has his own business, and who is attending from another western country, will spend over $1000 just on his ticket. So to raise the funds for the court case is not difficult. This was already pointed out before in our original press release on this subject, but due to the desperation in needing a ‘story’, a false allegation needs to be recycled.
“Although the building is repairable, the damage will set Adridharan back approximately 40-50 lakhs of rupees (US $120, 000) plus whatever income was to be generated from its use. “
Since the pandal was old and due to be replaced, its value is only 15 lahks. Further as Hari Sauri well knows, in India the next 4 months is off-season for Weddings, and therefore the loss in income is ZERO. Thus in that sense, this was the ‘best’ possible time that such an unfortunate incident could have occurred.
“It seems that Lord Jagannath is trying to tell him something. Whether he will listen is another thing, ” reported Hari Sauri dasa. “
Since the pandal was burnt down not by Lord Jagannatha but by an act of arson, by an enemy of the IRG, Lord Jagannatha is merely telling us to be more vigilant in future, and to not assume that those who oppose the IRG would not stoop so low as to engage in arson. But in the desperate and twisted world of Hari Sauri’s logic anything is possible. By the same reasoning, the beating up of Radha prana prabhu in Malaysia would also be a ‘sign’ that the Lord is trying to ‘tell’ us that the IRG is wrong. To those of us who are more reasonable however, it is simply a sign that those followers of HH Jayapataka Swami are just thugs.
Hari Sauri needs to wake up to the fact that if Lord Jagannatha wanted to tell us something negative why did he arrange for the following to happen:
  1. Persuading a communist Judge to give us the route for the parade, even though the Judge had initially sided with the Police, who had wanted to severely restrict the festival.
  2. Attracting 1. 5 million people to the Ratha Yatra making it one of the biggest for years.
  3. Attracting over 100, 000 persons to our evening pandal program, a new record.
  4. Putting our pandal up in 4 days, even though we had heavy monsoon rains, and the task normally takes 21 days which includes a 60ft. high temple for Lord Jagannath.
  5. We had about half a million dollar of television & news coverage.
  6. We distributed over 40 tonnes of prasadam.
In sum giving us the best and biggest Ratha Yatra for many, many years. And this was the first year that the devotees from Mayapur did not assist in the festival. Indeed they did not even attend.
If unfortunate incidents are evidence of anything, then Hari Sauri needs to look in his own backyard, where the trail of misfortune and destruction makes the burning down of one bamboo structure insignificant.
Calcutta Wedding Pandal Burned
CHAKRA (Calcutta, India) – July 24, 1999: The building used by the Calcutta temple controlled by Adridharan dasa for conducting weddings has burned in a fire.
The fire took place on the morning of July 15, the day after the Calcutta Rathayatra, at about 4 AM.
The building was used as a wedding pandal. It is located at 22 Gurusadaya Rd. It is alleged to have generated funds which were being used to pay lawyers trying to sue ISKCON.
Although the building is repairable, the damage will set Adridharan back approximately 40-50 lakhs of rupees (US $120,000) plus whatever income was to be generated from its use.
“It seems that Lord Jagannath is trying to tell him something. Whether he will listen is another thing,” reported Hari Sauri dasa.
Exchange With Hari Sauri Prabhu-
Recently His Grace Hari Sauri Prabhu tried to discredit a story run by IRM, by claiming to reveal the real ‘facts’. Since I was the person to whom he originally sent the incriminating e-mail in question I feel obliged to reply to his mis-leading statements. Unfortunately his so-called ‘facts’ are totally misleading. Quotes from Hari Sauri are boxed in inverted commas, my comments following.
“IRG, an anti-ISKCON web site, regularly posts information gleaned from devotees’ private e-mail, pilfered and sent in by untrustworthy informers, as admitted below.”
  1. The IRG – ISKCON Reform Group – is NOT an ‘anti-ISKCON web site’, but a pressure group composed of ISKCON members who wish to reform the society in line with Srila Prabhupada’s desires. How that makes it ‘anti-ISKCON’, especially since Hari Sauri himself agrees that the society needs to be reformed, is hard to fathom. Does Hari Sauri consider himself anti-ISKCON too, surely not? Also since Hari Sauri, along with myself and many others, have been completely wrong regarding the guru systems that have been tried in recent ISKCON history. We allowed the ‘zonal acharya‘ system, which everyone now agrees was a terrible mistake, and which was itself replaced with the M.A.S.S. (Multiple Acharya Successor System); a system which the GBC now admit also needs to be reformed; it would be better if he exercised more caution in writing off IRG’s position as anti-ISKCON so readily. The one thing we do know for sure is that whatever systems we have backed for the last 21 years have definitely been against ISKCON’s best interests, and that is why the GBC are at present hastily trying to cobble together a new system.
  2. Hari Sauri prabhu is wrong on two other counts:
  1. IRG has never ‘pilfered’ any e-mails. Pilfering means to ‘steal’ and that has never been done to my knowledge. Could Hari Sauri give just one example of IRG pilfering? All e-mails are voluntarily passed on to us by enthusiastic supporters of the ISKCON Reform Group.
  2. The e-mails Hari Sauri refers to, which were published on IRG, were all accurate and true, as has been admitted by Hari Sauri himself, and were thus not sent in by ‘untrustworthy informers’.
“Since the IRG has no access to proper information it should be obvious to any reader that its comments on any given situation are likely to be inaccurate at best and complete distortions of the truth bent to sharpen their own particular axe with which they wish to attack the GBC.”
In regards to the story in question – the funds given to Harikesha – Hari Sauri admits that the information printed WAS all correct. His complaint only related to the way in which the information was obtained. Yes, IRG does rely on the mercy of our GBC ‘informants’ and others. But in this particular case there was no mistake – Harikesha did receive the funds, at least $500,000 – and this was all that was claimed.
“The fact is that the funds given to Harikesha were sent to him BEFORE the GBC took charge of the fund. It was a decision made by the previous trustees as Locan prabhu has already explained.”
  1. After criticising IRG’s lack of access to ‘proper information’ etc,. here Hari Sauri Prabhu himself again admits that the funds were indeed given to Harikesha!
  2. IRG never stated that it was the GBC who gave the funds, nor was it stated that the funds were disbursed before or after a certain point in time. The main concern was not precisely by whom or when the funds were given, but that the funds were somehow given.
“To my knowledge since then no funds have been given out from the Visva Toshani funds. So the GBC statement was not at all incorrect.”
This is a tactic similar to that used by Bill Clinton in the recent episode concerning HIS Monica where he states that though his denial was ‘legally accurate’ he admits however that it was misleading because he did not ‘volunteer relevant information’. This is exactly the point made by IRG. In the context of rumours that Harikesha had been given funds, it is highly relevant to mention if there have been any recent disbursements of funds, especially of such extraordinary magnitude. The failure to mention this fact, coupled with the statement that no money had been given from the fund by the GBC, gave the distinct impression that no funds had been disbursed. As it turns out this impression was entirely misleading, and therefore a lie. This omission is even more misleading when one reads the following statement in the very next paragraph of their Chakra posting after assuring everyone that the GBC had managed to ‘secure’ the funds:
‘Harikesa das has taken an oath of allegiance to ISKCON, a practice that Srila Prabhupada established. The oath states that any funds or property acquired by an individual acting in their capacity as an officer of the society, remain the sole property of ISKCON at all times, and the individual has no claim what so ever. A long standing ISKCON law also establishes that guru-daksina is not the personal property of any spiritual master but that it is the property of ISKCON.’
(GBC Executive Committee 29/8/98)
For the GBC to even state the above principle in juxtaposition to the assurance of ‘secured’ funds clearly implied that no funds AT ALL had been acquired by Harikesha. This omission is all the more highlighted by the high moral tone of CHAKRA’s ‘mission’ statement that appears at the beginning of the GBC posting:
‘We here at Chakra are committed to telling you the WHOLE truth. We don’t hide anything, although we have our own perspective, which is independent and not dictated to us by the GBC’.
Would CHAKRA agree that failing to mention the disbursement of at least half million dollars in the context of concerns that funds had been given to Harikesha IS mis-leading and not the ‘whole truth’, and is definitely ‘hiding something’.
Therefore the term ‘liar’ and the substance of the story are correct :
Lie:
  1. A false statement made with the intention of deceiving.
  2. ANYTHING MISLEADING. (Chambers Dictionary)’
“As far as these financial dealings go, they are complex and not the cut and dried events made out by the IRG. The GBC did an excellent job throughout. If some mistakes were made that is to be expected in such a difficult set of circumstances.”
Financial dealings may indeed be complex, but omitting to tell us that very recently at least 1/2 million dollars had freely been disbursed from the Visva Tosani funds to Harikesha is very simply an act of deception.
“KK Desai is nothing but a charlatan posing as the great champion of truth and credibility.”
I find the above accusation a bit rich, seeing as we have both (Hari Sauri and myself) supported bogus leaders in the past, and posed ourselves as something we were not, which is after all the very definition of the word charlatan. Yet in this instance Krishnakant prabhu is guilty of nothing more than disclosing this shocking misappropriation of funds.
“The letter that he posted on his web page was a private correspondence from me to someone else and not for public exposure. It was posted without my knowledge or permission. Desai calls this illegal procurement “We only found out the above information through a mixture of luck and providence.” Luck and providence have not so much to do it as a simple act of dishonesty.”
  1. How can stating the truth be an act of ‘dishonesty’!? Why should IRG apologise for revealing this information to the devotees at large, since they have every right to know what happens with Srila Prabhupada’s laxmi.
  2. The real ‘dishonesty’ lies in Hari Sauri Prabhu wanting to keep this information from the Vaisnavas.
  3. Since this highly relevant information was only revealed by Hari Sauri because he somehow mis-read my name ‘Bhaja Hari Das’ as ‘Braja Bihari Das’, it is quite conceivable that it was indeed Krsna’s arrangement.
“Such an unscrupulous person has no right to be criticizing anyone. He continues to show the same track record for bending the truth as he has repeatedly when presenting Srila Prabhupada’s statements on the guru issue. He has his own agenda and it’s not Srila Prabhupada’s, not ISKCON’s and not Vaisnava.”
  1. As seen above $500,000 was given to Harikesha STRAIGHT, not in any ‘bent’ fashion. And the only reason we know about it is because Hari Sauri Prabhu inadvertently revealed the truth in his e-mail to me.
  2. As regards the guru issue, one only needs to read ‘The GBC Fails to Answer The Final Order’ and ‘Time Out For Hari-Sauri’s Minutes’ to see who is ‘bending the truth’. Indeed Hari Sauri is apparently so bewildered that he still thinks that the ritviks were appointed by Srila Prabhupada to absorb karma on his behalf even whilst His Divine Grace was still physically present. So confused is his understanding that it is not even shared by the GBC, the very body he is vehemently trying to defend.
“IRG (quoting a pilfered e-mail message): As far as clarifying what I said, I tell you frankly I have no clue what to say instead as WHAT I said, I believe in. Namely that the Zonal Acarya system and the still perpetrated remnants of it has brought ISKCON to the brink of ruin – and one has to be blind to deny that. In fact I actually think we are better off to be honest about it.”
Hari Sauri now seems to be so desperate to try and attack IRG that he quotes something which is not even on the website! He therefore finishes in the manner he began – misleading and misrepresenting.
Now for the real question that nobody seems to be asking:
Since it is undisputed that Harikesha has acquired at least half a million dollars of Srila Prabhupada’s laxmi, and since the GBC admit that this is a violation of ISKCON law (and almost certainly criminal law also) what is the GBC’s executive committee doing to retrieve it ?

Lecture of Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa on Bhagavad-Gita

“We grow up hearing that ‘life is not a bed of roses’ and gradually we start realizing it once we face the real world. Every now and then we confront with situations which are difficult to deal with and hard to escape.”
madhu pandit dasa

PRLog (Press Release) – Aug 12, 2010 – We grow up hearing that ‘life is not a bed of roses’ and gradually we start realizing it once we face the real world. Every now and then we confront with situations which are difficult to deal with and hard to escape.
Like any one else I used to think that my problems are unique and have no solutions until I attended a lecture of Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa on Bhagavad-Gita. The topic -‘Facing life’s challenges in Bhagavat-gita way’ caught my attention and prompted me to attend the session.
I attended the session expecting a very quick solution of leading a successful life. The lecture started and Madhu Pandit Dasa clearly pointed out what Bhagavad-Gita is not.
He said Bhagavad-gita does not give us any formula to meet life’s challenges. It does not tell us about different techniques of dealing with life, rather it goes to the root of our existence and helps us identify the worthy challenges of life and tells us what life is meant for.
He narrated in a lucid way how Arjuna was guided by Sri Krishna in the battle field of Kurukshetra when he had to fight against his close acquaintances. How Krishna narrated Arjuna about the life itself.
He said most of the time we fail to understand the value of our life and spend most of our time worrying about things which we have to leave behind and go. It was a one hour session and I was greatly inspired by the way Madhu Pandit Dasa related Bhagavad-gita with the challenges we face in life and how can we prioritize life’s challenges and deal with it.
Such sessions are of great help to the young generation today who are in to the rat race competing every moment to achieve their goals…where the chances of disappointment and frustration are on the peak. It does not give you a formula but definitely helps you to deal with it.

Red Alert to Jayapataka

1. All Ports Alert For Jayapataka To Be Issued As we have reported in previous weeks, Jayapataka Swami (JPS) is on the run from the Indian legal system. We have even produced evidence where JPS has admitted this fact. As reported, JPS is fleeing since he has been charged with abetting the suicide of Suresvara Das, a devotee against whom the JPS camp filed false rape charges. Now, however, in a sensational development solicitors acting for the family of the deceased have decided to take international action to bring this fugitive to justice. The solicitors have put together a package of material which will allow the immigration authorities of all countries to take the appropriate action. The package consists of a cover letter which sets out all the material enclosed. This cover letter, and a solicitor’s letter which is the first item in the package, are reproduced below: Dear Sirs, The enclosed materials give evidence pertaining to an Indian Citizen who we believe will make attempts to enter your country sometime in the future. He is currently on the run following the Indian Police having filed a case against him for abetment to suicide. This is a serious crime which carries a prison term of 7 years in our country. His name is Jayapataka Swami. Though he is one of 8 similarly charged, he is the only one who has fled the country. The enclosed materials are as follows: 1. A letter from ourselves, who are acting on behalf of the deceased, wherein we have set out the events relating to this matter. 2. A copy of the Police Case which has been filed against this individual by the Calcutta Police, Hastings Branch. 3. A copy of the court order that prevents him from leaving India. Unfortunately he had the presence of mind to abscond around the time the case was filed, and before the court order was procured. The court order was hand-written by the Judge, which is still quite common in the Calcutta High Court. The Court seal is clearly visible. A typed version has also been provided. We have also included a copy of relevant newspaper articles which state the same. 4. A copy of his latest passport. 5. A copy of his previous passport and his current US Green Card. We urge that you may enter this information on your airport computer systems, as we are unable to specify in advance exactly when he may seek to enter your country, as he is continually moving from country to country. He particularly uses countries as transit ports as he moves from one side of the globe to the other. We hope this information will be of interest to you, and that you will be minded to not facilitate this person’s current evasion of the due process of Justice. If necessary you may contact me via mail, fax or phone at the following: Thanking you in advance, Yours faithfully, Sandersons & Morgans (Acting on Behalf of the Family of the Deceased) By partner C R Addy Advocates & Solicitors, Royal Insurance Building 5,Netaji Subhas Road, Calcutta 700001 FAX 91-33-248-2648 TEL.248-2644[4 Lines] The following is a copy of item No. 1 of the package as stated in cover letter above: Dear Sir, This is to inform you that a criminal case has been started against eight accused persons. They are as follows :- 1. Jayapataka Swami 2. Satadhanya Dasa 3. Dayaram Dasa 4. Bhadra Charu Dasa 5. Birchandra Dasa 6. Krishna Lata Dasi 7. Basanti Devi Dasi 8. Subhabrata Dasa The case being started on 03.08.2000 by the Hastings Police Station being Hastings Police Station case no. 293/2000 corresponding to the G.R. Case No. 2588/2000 under section 120B/306 of the Indian Penal Code in criminal conspiracy with each other in abetting in commission of suicide of Sureswara Dasa. As the above named persons may avoid due process of law and fly away from India, and accordingly, on 07.08.2000 the Learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate passed an order directing the Investigating Officer of the Hastings Police Station to take effective steps against the above accused persons and also to prevent them from leaving India. We understand that of the above eight accused persons only Jayapataka Swami has left the country after the case was started. A copy of the said order is enclosed. Thanking you. Yours faithfully, Sandersons & Morgans By partner C.R. Addy We are seeking the help of the international devotee community to assist us in contacting their appropriate immigration authorities and presenting the above package of material to them. Many devotees had earlier contacted us asking how they could help after having been shocked by the needless death of Suresvara Das, and desiring to see justice served on behalf of an i nnocent Vaisanava. If you wish to assist in this way then please send us your mailing address, and the full package mentioned above will be couriered immediately to yourselves. We especially seek the assistance of devotees who already have contact or connection with the appropriate authorities in their countries. Our IRM contacts in different countries are already beginning to get the ball rolling but we wish to cover as many countries as possible, so please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you very much. 2. ISKCON Leaders Losing Faith in ISKCON We have already reported on how even the GBC chairman has stated that the ISKCON society is ‘disintegrating’ (please see issue No. 21 – “GBC Special Issue – GBC Chairman Admits ISKCON ‘Disintegrating’ “). Now we have the following shocking statement from Abhirama Dasa. Abhirama Dasa is acting as the Managing Director of the S.M.D.P. (Sri Mayapur Development Project) which is the single most important and expensive project in the history of ISKCON. He is also a Regional Secretary for ISKCON South India, the Chairman of the M.V.T. (Mayapur Vrindavana Trust), and was/is on the board of the ISKCON Foundation. However this is what he said recently in a confidential e-mail sent to a co-Temple President of an ISKCON Temple in South India under his charge: “I am not a fanatical ISKCON man. Actually, I am no longer sure that the institution is a useful preaching tool. In many ways it has become a burden to the preaching of Gauranga’s message. It was a sharp sword in the hands of Srila Prabhupada, but has become a dull blunt instrument in the hands of very incompetent and sometimes foolish hands. It is also a focus of envy for many people who are themselves failures and insincere. My interest is not to protect ISKCON at any cost, but to see how to increase people’s love for Hari kirtan, and to have faith in Srila Prabhupada. This has meant promoting ISKCON, in the past, because it represented these goals. Nowadays, the actions of some people are gradually separating the mission of Srila Prabhupada from the mission of ISKCON. I am shocked that I should say this, because I never thought it would come to this, but I must now say it.” (Abhirama Das, 15/10/00) Yet this is the person who has been entrusted with the biggest project in ISKCON’s history, and has also been given a whole chunk of India and a lot more besides to look after. Clearly he is just following in his Chairman’s footsteps. The malaise therefore obviously runs deep, beginning right at the top and running through all the sections of ISKCON’s leadership. Recently His Holiness Bhakti Caru Swami (BCS) also stated the following: “I don’t hesitate to say that things are a mess in our society.” (Bhakti Caru Swami giving Srimad Bhagavatam Class on October 5th in Vrindavana) So we have a disintegrating society in a mess, which is nothing but a dull and blunt instrument in the hands of very incompetent and sometimes foolish hands, and which is nothing but a burden on the preaching. And this is what ISKCONs’ OWN leaders are saying – not us! You would think that with this state of affairs there would be some humility in their attitude towards others. Unfortunately not! Whilst freely admitting that their leadership has brought ISKCON to the brink of collapse, they still tried to expel the IRM -TWICE – just because we did not wish to surrender to this morally and spiritually bankrupt leadership! Another example of this double standard can be seen in the same Bhagavatam lecture of BCS quoted above. In this he also says: “When Srila Prabhupada was here, the spirit was so high; the preaching was going on so strongly. All the temples were full of devotees and so many individuals were just rushing to join this movement. And that is the Sankirtana spirit. We should revive that spirit. When Srila Prabhupada was here, individuals took so much risk; they risked their lives to go to different corners of the world and spread this movement. But unfortunately, we are missing that spirit today. Young devotees, 2 or 3 months in the movement, went out to spread and establish this movement all over the world. Now when we look back and think, we can say, “what are we doing? Where is that spirit?” what to speak of going out and opening new temples, many of the temples that Srila Prabhupada gave us are empty today. Why? We have to consider this. [...] So let us try to revive that spirit of Srila Prabhupada’s Sankirtana movement. Let us revive the spirit of ISKCON once again. [...] I’ll take the liberty of being very frank and I’ll say that our first mistake was in our initiation system after Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance. The mistake was that when Srila Prabhupada left the planet, some individuals took up the responsibility of becoming gurus, and they more or less assumed that to become a guru means to become like Srila Prabhupada; to be a guru means to have the same position as Srila Prabhupada. In doing so, consciously or unconsciously, we obscured Srila Prabhupada’s position; we obscured Srila Prabhupada’s greatness. And since then, it is a history of losses in our society.” (Bhakti Caru Swami giving Srimad Bhagavatam Class on October 5th in Vrindavana) Here BCS states that: 1. We must REVIVE the ISKCON society. He states this 3 times. 2. He states that this revival must be based on restoring the spirit of how things were pre-77 – i.e. NO CHANGE 3. He states that the problem in the movement was that we made a mistake in the initiation system in 1977. That this led to Srila Prabhupada’s position to be obscured, and that we must re-instate Srila Prabhupada’s greatness back into the center of our society. Now, there is a group that wishes to REVIVE ISKCON back to how things were in 1977 on the principle of No Change. This group also states that we made a mistake in 1977 in our initiation system, and that this has led to Srila Prabhupada’s position being obscured and that we must therefore simply promote Srila Prabhupada’s greatness to solve this problem. This group is called the ISKCON Revival Movement (IRM). You would therefore think that Maharaja would have some sympathy with this group – since they are simply trying to the best of their ability to put Srila Prabhupada in the center as he keeps saying we must. Unfortunately no! BCS’s response has been simply to support their expulsion – twice! Which again raises the question of just WHO BCS REALLY wants in the center. Because as soon as a group actually DOES try and put Srila Prabhupada in the center they are expelled for doing so. Even if we are putting Srila Prabhupada TOO MUCH in the center, at least we have the same goal in mind, which should bring some support and sympathy – not expulsion. And in any case how is it even possible to put Srila Prabhupada TOO MUCH in the center in his OWN society? This again exposes BCS’s pontification regarding the obscuring of Srila Prabhupada’s position as being nothing more than double-talk to try and obscure his OWN worship. 3. Classic Quotes In this regular column we shall be highlighting the bizarre and contradictory world of our GBC and ‘Gurus’, who have occupied Srila Prabhupada’s position on the pretext of being able to guide us out of darkness and back to Godhead. However as this column will show over the coming weeks, these personalities would be better advised coming into the light themselves, and to move out of the way from blocking the clear and transcendental light which is emanating directly from Srila Prabhupada. Physician heal thyself! Classic Quote No. 6 *Bhakti Caru Contradicts Sastric Injunctions* “We can consider: what is the use of diksa without siksa? Therefore what is more important, diksa or siksa? Siksa!” (Bhakti Caru Swami giving Srimad Bhagavatam Class on October 5th in Vrindavana) Here BCS states that Siksa is more important than Diksa. Yet Srila Prabhupada states that the sastric injunctions declare that there is *no difference* between the siksa and diksa Gurus: “According to sastric injunctions, there is no difference between siksa-guru and diksa-guru, and generally the siksa-guru later on becomes the diksa-guru” (S:B, 4:12:32 Purport) If there is *no difference* between the diksa and siksa gurus then how can siksa be *more important* than diksa? Classic Quote No. 7 *Bhakti Caru Obscures Srila Prabhupada’s Position* “The diksa guru obviously gives siksa. The diksa is based on siksa. [...] Not only that, but since we are not putting the importance on siksa, Srila Prabhupada’s position as the pre-eminent siksa guru of this movement for all the devotees for all time has been minimized.” (Bhakti Caru Swami giving Srimad Bhagavatam Class on October 5th in Vrindavana) 1. Here BCS clearly states that the Diksa is BASED on Siksa. 2. He also states that Srila Prabhupada is giving the pre-eminent Siksa. The word pre-eminent means ‘surpassing all others’. Thus BCS agrees that Srila Prabhupada’s siksa surpasses any other siksa. Thus if Diksa is based on siksa then: 1. Since Srila Prabhupada gives the pre-eminent siksa, and diksa is BASED on this, Srila Prabhupada must also be giving Diksa. 2. Since out of all the siksa that exists in ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada’s siksa surpasses all the other siksa on offer, he must ALSO be the pre-eminent DIKSA Guru in ISKCON, since Siksa is BASED on Diksa. And since one can only have ONE Diksa Guru, by definition Srila Prabhupada must the Diksa Guru of ISKCON – just as we state: “A devotee must have only one initiating spiritual master because in the scriptures acceptance of more than one is always forbidden.” (CC, Adi:1:35) Yet even after admitting all this, BCS decides to steal all of Srila Prabhupada’s disciples and worship for HIMSELF, thus obscuring Srila Prabhupada’s true position, and thus doing the very thing he claims he is trying to combat. Srila Prabhupada – ISKCON’s pre-eminent Diksa Guru – accept no substitutes! A hard copy of our main position paper ‘The Final Order’ is available on request. Jayapataka Swami’s- medical drama

jps on wheel chair
It appears that some time last night (23rd October 2008) Jayapataka Swami suffered a stroke in his sleep . When his servant tried to wake him this morning he couldn’t rise and appeared to be calling for help. He couldn’t articulate his words. On 23rd October 2008 early morning, he was found in the bed unconscious around 3.30 a.m. Devotees rushed him to the Hinduja hospital, thinking that Maharaja may had a heart attack. He was admitted in ICU. But later doctors diagnosed that it is brain haemorrhage .
jps mama

Doctor P.P Ashok has reviewed the case thoroughly there is a haemorrhage in the brain stem and therefore it is a critical situation. The brain stem contains all our vital centers of function like breathing, consciousness etc. Therefore a slight increase in Haemorrhage can cause a life and death situation.
It was found at two places in his head there was internal bleeding. Bleeding has stoped. The place is delicate and doctors cannot do any operation. They are trying to treat by medicine. Till now Guru Maharaja is in unconscious state. Devotees saw one time HH moving his hands and leg. Now it looks like he is sleeping peace fully. Before he was breathing heavily with a lot of sound which has stopped now.
Maharaja had a stroke and brain bleeding in 2 places . One of the areas of bleeding is the root of the brain, a most sensitive area, a place where surgery cannot take place.
The condition is critical, the surgeon’s opinion that Maharaja’s chance for survival slim .
It’s in Krsna’s hands, absolutely. Please pray. SRS. October 23rd, 2008

No surgery can be performed, and there is no medicine that can be given. The brain stem hemorrhage was very serious, and if the bleeding had continued there would have been no chance of survivalFortunately Maharaja’s bleeding has stopped, which is why there is hope of recovery. But there is no treatment for it: it has to heal on its own. Bhakti Purusottama Swami on Wed, 2008-11-05
This afternoon the doctors did a Tracheostomy . Tracheostomy is a surgical opening in the trachea (windpipe) that forms a temporary opening to make breathing easier. They have inserted the ventilator tube into this hole instead of sending the tube through the mouth.
Since Jayapataka Maharaja is unable to breathe by himself they cannot remove the ventilator. They cannot keep the tubes through the mouth for a long time and it can catch infection. Guru Maharaja also feels uncomfortable with the tubes. Therefore the panel of doctors decided to go for tracheostomy.
Compared to yesterday the consciousness level is down today. There could be different factors. They will wait and see tomorrow. Apart from this the other parameters are stable. (30-Oct-08, 8:30 p.m. Ratnavali dd )
fake guru always suffers

Sivarama Swami, Radhanatha Swami, Gopala Krsna Goswami and Bhakti-vijnana Swami, Bhakti-caru Swami and Bir Krsna Goswami are with him in the hospital and the most recent report from Sivarama Swami is not good news.
Different devotees have been asking us how they can help Guru Maharaja at this critical moment. One very important service that is required now is to donate for the hospital and medical expenses.
Separate bank accounts have been created for this purpose . We will let you now in one or two days. (Mumbai) , 20-12-2008 morning)
It is our good fortune to inform the devotees and ISKCON FAMILY members that today morning at 7 am HH Jayapataka swami Gurumaharaja left the Hinduja hospital after he was admitted like 60 days ago, Gurumaharaja is going to continue with his healing in the Bhaktivedanta Hospital
What is a brain-haemorrhage of the brain steam similar to the one Maharaj had?
Answer - The term used for conditions in which an area of the brain is transiently or permanently affected by ischemia (lack of blood supply) or bleeding is cerebrovascular disease (CVD). One or more of the blood vessels in the brain may be involved in the pathological process.
Intracranial haemorrhage is the pathological accumulation of blood within the cranial cavity and this may occur within the brain parenchyma (intracerebral haemorrhage) or the surrounding meningeal spaces. Haemorrhage within the meninges or the associated potential spaces are called epidural haematoma, subdural haematoma, and subarachnoid haemorrhage.
Intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) may extend into the ventricles and is then called intraventricular haemorrhage. ICH results from a wide variety of disorders and is more likely to result in death or major disability than other forms of bleed as the haemorrhage itself and the accompanying swelling may disrupt or compress adjacent brain tissue, leading to neurological dysfunction.
If large parts of the brain are so displaced, there is rise in the intracranial pressure (ICP) which can cause potentially fatal brain stem herniation.
Common causes for this include trauma; ruptured intracranial aneurysms (congenital weakening of blood vessels); arteriovenous malformation (an abnormal collection of blood vessels where arterial blood flows directly into draining veins); vasculitis; tumour; use of anticoagulants; bleeding disorders like haemophilia. The cause may be unknown in nearly 25% cases.
A haemorrhage in the brainstem region may present with coma, posturing, loss of brainstem reflexes, and oculomotor abnormalities. It most commonly involves the pons and generally has a poor prognosis .
The immediate management is largely dependent upon the cause, location, and size of the haemorrhage, as well as the clinical status of the patient. CT angiography or MR angiography permits visualisation of the blood vessels for arterial diseases like arteria-venous malformations, vasculitis, etc.
Medical treatment is given when there are minimal neurological deficits or the bleed is less than 10 cc. Some of the indications for surgery are – haemorrhage more than 3 cm, presence of a structural vascular lesion, lobar haemorrhage, etc.
Surgery may include craniotomy and clot evacuation under direct vision; stereotactic aspiration with thrombolytic agents or endoscopic evacuation.
Maharaj has been off the ventilator for 48 hours now and is doing well. The reports are encouraging. His oral intake of prasadam is increasing gradually. Ratnavali Devi Dasi November 23, 2008
GM (Jayapataka) was hungry . I asked the nurses if we could feed him. They asked me if I received the permission to give our temple food and I said yes. HG Nitai Prasad, the General Manager of Sridham Mayapur was with us. We explained to him how to feed Guru Maharaja and he fed Guru Maharaja nicely . GM took 14 spoons of soup and 3 pieces of dhosas.”
The above medical account of Jayapataka Swami was completely taken off the public internet.
After Jayapataka recovered from his brain haemorrhage , he wasted no time to go to the Bangalore Shubharam Kalyana Temple to create disturbance for the ISKCON-Bangalore Temple .
Iskcon-Mumbai writes about Jayapatakas visit to the Bangalore Shubharam Kalyana Mantap the following: “Most of the devotees here in Bangalore, were seeing him for the first time after the health set back he suffered in October 2008. He had spent more than a month at Bangalore deposing in the court, just prior to the hemorrhage he suffered in October 2008 .”
Comment : It seems that Iskcon-Mumbai is implying that Jayapatkas brain hemorrhage is related to his prior court case against ISKCON-Bangalore. So why Jayapataka is again appealing the court case, which he lost already. Doesn’t he understand Krishnas warning ?
That picture (right) shows Jaya Pataka Swami cross-examination at Appellant Court in Bangalore, India .
Jayapataka is claiming that Bangalore Temple and Akshaya Patra belongs to him and other ISKCON Gurus/GBC gundas

Is Jayapataka Swami going to die ?
Sure, sooner or later, that is the law of material nature. But we think that he might die sooner than later because of all of his offences to the devotees of the Bangalore temple.
It is said, that life span will decrease by commiting offences to Krishnas devotees.

The evidence continues: Letters issued on behalf of Srila Prabhupada
Supporters of the ISKCON Guru hoax claim that the representational initiation system instituted by Srila Prabhupada on July 9th 1977, whereby he would initiate all future eligible members of the institution via the use of priests (ritviks) acting on his behalf, was only set up as a temporary measure.
In the first issue we reproduced the original directive, signed by Srila Prabhupada, where there is no mention that the ritvik system was just a temporary measure for ISKCON. The only indication of the directive’s duration is the word ‘henceforward’, which simply means ‘from now onwards’.
It is interesting to note that at around the time of the July 9th directive, several other letters concerning the ritvik system were issued by Srila Prabhupada’s leading disciples whilst acting in an offcial capacity on his behalf, and not one of them gave any hint that the ritvik system was only a temporary, stop gap measure.
Below is a transcribed conversation between Srila Prabhupada and his Secretary Tamala Krsna Maharaja wherein he is dictating a letter to one of his selected ritvik initiators, Hamsadutta Das:
Tamala Krsna Maharaja: Upendra and I could see it for the last… [break]
Srila Prabhupada: “And nobody is going to disturb you there. Make your own feld and continue to become ritvik and act on my charge. People are becoming sympathetic there. The place is very nice.” (Room Conversation, July 19th,1977)
Above Srila Prabhupada says: “continue to become ritvik”. He does not say “continue to become ritvik until I depart, and then become an initiating Guru”; nor does he say “continue to become ritvik for the time being only.” He just says “continue”. This same word ends up in the final letter:
“Now you have a very good field. Now organize it and it will be a great credit. No one will disturb you there. Make your own field and continue to become ritvik and act on my behalf.” ( July 31st 1977)
Although Hamsadutta was one of the original eleven Guru hoaxers, he has since capitulated, admitting he was only ever authorised to act as a ritvik. A similar letter was sent by Srila Prabhupada’s secretary to Kirtanananda Maharaja (another of the original deviators) on July 11th 1977:
“A letter has been sent to all the Temple Presidents and GBC which you should be receiving soon describing the process for initiation to be followed in the future. Srila Prabhupada has appointed thus far eleven representatives who will initiate new devotees on His behalf. You can wait for this letter to arrive (the original has been sent to Ramesvara Maharaja for duplicating) and then all of the persons whom you recommended in your previous letters can be initiated.”
Above we see the ritvik system described as: “the process for initiation to be followed in the future.” It does not say “the process for initiation to be followed for now”, nor “for the time being”, nor “until the ritviks turn into diksa Gurus.”
We also have no words in any letter or document of that time that give any notion that the ritvik system was just a short term measure. There is no statement from Srila Prabhupada that even hints that this system was to terminate on his departure.
Rather, as we saw in the last issue, Srila Prabhupada’s Last Will and Testament stated that whatever was running in ISKCON at the time of Srila Prabhupada’s departure “will continue as it is now” and “there is no need of any change”.
So we have the following words being used by Srila Prabhupada and his most senior men in relation to the applicability of the newly instituted ritvik system of initiation:
“continue”, “future”, “no need of any change”
Hence the convergence of all the evidence says just one thing: the ritvik system should still be running within ISKCON.
