Announcing this at a media conference here on Friday, President of the chapter Samba Das said for a start, the play school would have pre-primary sections and later extend up to class IV. The school would be a unique fusion of ancient wisdom and modern technology-Vidya-modern education, Savidya-traditional education and Brahmavidya-spiritual education. Giving details, Mataji Nitaisevini said that the advent of corporate culture and western lifestyles had resulted in some schools setting up gyms and disco classes.
Divine Touch school would be different as it brings to the city the unique Indian culture which stood the test of time, and Montessori methods and handling of subjects including moral science that would make a mark on the young, impressionable minds. Initially, the school would accommodate only 100 and later would be shifted to a more spacious premises somewhere near Rishikonda, she said.
Some 80 gurukul students of ISKCON from Mayapur would be visiting the city towards May-end to give a glimpse of the quality education imparted at the school, she stated. Divine Touch would also have thematic rooms for activity, arts and crafts, audio visuals, computers, dining, splash pool, puja room, and a mini zoo besides indoor and outdoor games, she added.
