DELHI: Four persons, including a governing body commissioner (Iskcon Truth Sources say its Gopal Krisha Goswami) of Iskcon
(International Society for Krishna Consciousness), have been booked on
the complaint of a priest who has accused another priest of sodomizing
him. However, Iskcon termed his allegations false
but the complainant alleged that no action was taken on his complaint.
The police have booked four persons on the complaint of a priest. A governing body commissioner of Iskcon was also booked.
In
the FIR, the priest has alleged that the other priest tried to have
unnatural sex with him on the night of February 15. He also added that
on April 8 the other priest sodomised him in Kurukshetra.
"I sent a brief to the governing body but no action has been taken," the FIR states.
The
police have registered a case under Section 377 (unnatural offences,
voluntarily having carnal intercourse against the order of nature with
any man, woman or animal) and 511 (punishment for attempting to commit offenses punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) of
the IPC, a cop said.
The authorities at Iskcon temple have dismissed the allegations claiming them to be false.
Brajendra Nandan Das, director, Iskcon, has termed the allegations baseless.
